Star ships? That sounds like Star Trek. Two Star ships are launching in 2025. The Star of the Seas from Royal Caribbean and the Star Princess. Both of these ships are second editions in their class with previous sisters.

The Star of the Seas will arrive in the US in August 20, 2025. She will be home ported into Port Canaveral. Her first few sailings will be 3 -4 night sailings, then she will start the 7 nights for Eastern and Western Caribbean on August 31. Her features will be a large waterpark, unique slides, the ice area, and obstacle course, rock climbing wall surf simulators and more. There will be 40 dining venues! A supper club and over a dozen bars. This is truly the family vacation, because there is something for everyone.

Star Princess will start in Europe on Oct 3, 2025 sailing from Barcelona. She will sail an 11 night Mediterranean and a 7 night Mediterranean before coming to Ft Lauderdale. I plan to be aboard the transatlantic on Oct 23. The biggest feature about the Star Princess is the Sanctuary Collection of cabins and deck space. This is truly the answer to other “ship within a ship” luxury club. No children under the age of 16 will be permitted which is a big difference from other Suite ships. Unlimited specialty dining, unlimited premium beverages, unlimited photos and a dedicated dining room. Full suite guest will have their own private lounge. The Star will remain in the Caribbean during the winter season, then move to Alaska. Join me on the Transatlantic!

Speaking of Alaska, there is still plenty of opportunity to take this wonderful cruise destination. Several lines serve the market ranging from 7 -10 -14 night voyages. Of course, the lodges and the national parks are always an important feature. If you want to sail and take the land portion, I would advise you to book soon for 2025. Your best chance to get your dates and sailings will be in 2026.

Anyone a fan of Project Runway? Does anyone remember Christian Siriano? He will be hosting a Fashion Week on the Queen Mary 2 on Oct 31, 2025. Now that would be fun.

It was a year ago when I traveled to New Zealand, Australia, Tahiti and Fiji. There are so many different ports, sights and opportunities to experience adventure. It is a destination I highly highly recommend. Now is a good time to plan your winter vacation because it will be Summer Down Under.
