As the year is winding down it is great to remember where we have been, what we have seen and also think about our next destination for the coming year.

I myself have been finding some great destinations for my clients and getting them booked. Planning is key to any great cruise adventure.

Here are a few thing to remember as we go foward with your cruise travel plans:

1) Prices have been rising. Whether it be in the fare itself or the rise of gratuities or the airfare, it is the way cruising is headed forward. But that does not mean there are not some good fares that are popping up. I have seen many.

2) Finding the midship balcony will not be easily found. Some ships are holding those back for whatever reason. In order to get the good fare you may have to accept a guarantee cabin or a cabin not so central. So it becomes location or fare which is most important.

3) If you are looking at a cruise in the next 90 days, you may get a good fare, but the location may not be your preference. You will also need to pay the fare immediately.

4) If you book your cruise greater than a year out, there is often plenty of time to get refared to a better rate. I do keep an eye out for my clients to get the best possible prices.

So what is your next destination? Alaska, Europe, New England or Hawaii. All are great destinations and I can gladly help you find your next adventure. Have you ever taken a transatlantic cruise?
