I have just returned home after spending a week aboard the newest Edge Class ship from Celebrity called Xcel. This was an amazing experience and one I want to share with you some more information. I have sailed many different types of ship old and new, but the Excel is phenomenal!

The ship is your destination – if you so choose. Perhaps you have been to the Caribbean numerous times, but traveling the beautiful waters on this glorious ship, why disembark? Celebrity Excel is your floating resort, with excellent entertainment, delicious food and luxury amenities.

There are four dining venues included in the price. Each is a different theme. No need to make a reservation, they will seat you. The Bazaar is an entertainment venue with pop up entertainment through out the day. The Club is home to trivia and other entertainment such as country western night, Yes No Game, Liars Club etc. There is a Speak Easy bar but you will have to ask me how to gain access. It was an authentic place to be.

The entertainment on this ship was over the top! With the LED backdrops and world class sound system, the three production shows were jaw dropping! Every bit as good as a Las Vegas show. But don’t stop there. The guest performers were very talented and cut their careers on Broadway, therefore the quality was very high.

The public spaces are wide and carefree. It never felt crowded. The Oceanview buffet was amazing with the many choices and spacious venue. There was plenty of seating and the table spaced well apart. The pool area was also spacious with plenty of seating. There is also high glass to keep the wind of you will enjoying the wide sea views.
