The adventure continues...
Hello ,
While my adventures traveling continue complete with airports looking like a zombie apocalypse just happened with nurses milling around and public service recordings rolling over and over, but my adventures in tech also continue.
Did you know that if you DON'T make sure the wifi is stable while hitting SEND, that perhaps the newsletter WON'T send?
Ha! Seems obvious, but of course, I trusted the wifi when I shouldn't have, and your newsletter didn't go out at the right time.
Anyway, it's a shorter one, but just in case you miss hearing from me, the newsletter is below!

Travel is part of my blood. I love it. Seeing new places, hearing new languages, and most of all, seeing old friends.
Not that we're old, or they're old... you know what I mean!
This past week we arrived in Spain to visit my husband's family (they all still live here) and took a short weekend trip over the border to France to visit some friends. Absolutely wonderful to see people I haven't seen in over two years again. And amazingly enough, the kids remembered each other and had just as wonderful a time playing together, despite being older and not having seen each other at all.
We went rafting, where I aspirated water and lost my voice, which was fun. Ha! It actually was a lot of fun, to the point where we keep talking about how we should go again in the States. I still have little voice almost a week later (super weird). We ate Spanish barbecue, French breakfast, good wine,....
Some day maybe I will write about it, but the truth is, I'm having a bit of trouble finding time to write.
I do write. Don't think that I don't. I write my upcoming stories with my Creative Writing Community because we meet three times a week to write, but I find it hard to use that time for free flow writing. Just a mental block for me. Since my brain knows it's book writing time, that's when book ideas flow for me now...
I'm working on a short story for a contest and can't wait to share that with you, but it isn't ready yet. Which means, alas, I have no short story to share with you this time.
But I do have some really good news on the writing front:
I wrote over 29,000 words in June, which means next year I might have TWO books to share with you!
Coffee Stains is heading to the editor (finally!) and should be ready for you to have first dibs VERY SOON
AND I might be able to share the cover with you in the next email!!!
I'm so excited! I'm working with a graphic designer from Slovenia on the cover. You should check out her stuff on Instagram. She's super talented.
And to end the news, I'm going to share a picture with you from the weekend. I hope your Fourth of July weekend is a great as my last weekend of June. May you see friends and family again and eat some great food!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Kat
