Resume tips for Robotics // Robotics Newsletter Vol 22
Jun 23, 2022 6:01 pm
Hi ,
I have been doing resume reviews for the past week (I picked resumes from my Linkedin post - link here).
Based on those reviews and another post, here are some resume tips:
1. Coding is the top skill for robotics, highlight it in every project you have done to show your experience in the language. 💻
2. Next is knowledge - talk about algorithms you know and have implemented.🚀
3. Show projects - be it from internship, coursework, extra-circular actives like competition. It is the best way to show your experience. 🤖
4. Don't put everything you have ever done, only put what aligns for this job/ internship.
5. Drop the address - just mention city and state 🏠
6. Don't include any biodata - gender, photos, etc. It can lead to auto-reject.
7. Include your Linkedin Profile and Website links - it is great way to show images and videos of your projects 🔗
8. Make sure your resume is searchable. Most companies use ATS that will scan your resume and look for keywords. 🔎
I do have a video about how to write a resume in LaTex - for clean formatted and searchable resume + Tips 👇

🎙Do Less - Hidden Brain - who knew you had to remove a block to make a bridge stronger? An interesting episode which got me thinking about the ways to reduce things in life for better. Link
Recently a subscriber posted on Linkedin how my videos helped them on their project. Proud moment 😊
