We all know technical knowledge and skills are important for a job in Robotics. But today, I want to talk about social and emotional intelligence. This is one of those skills that they don't teach you at school and can actually help you a lot in your career. Here are few areas to focus on:

+ Small talk

+ Being able to related to people different from your cultural background and age group.

+ Resolving conflicts

+ Dealing with difficult situations - such as disagreeing.

+ Being calm and responding professionally.

Hope this helps bring attention to the importance of non-technical skills.

❤️ Things I am enjoying right now

📖 Book - Surrounded by Idiots by Thomas Erikson - an interesting book about 4 types of people and have to interact with them. While not everyone will fit into a bucket and maybe 2 or 3 colors combination it does help understand their behavior.

📺 TV Show - Younger on Hulu - it is about a women in her 40s going back to work but can't find work so she pretends to be in her 20s.
