Hello everyone,
We're back to another month of updates here, so let's jump in!
Updates
Riyati
First news is... Riyati Rivals progress is moving along steadily! I've completely finished developmental edits, with line edits finishing up in just a few days. From there, Rivals will be heading into beta! As a fun piece of trivia, almost 20,000 words were added to Rivals's manuscript between the first draft and its beta version. Right now, Rivals has about 5,000 more words (two chapters) more than Rebirth, so it's a decent amount longer, too!
If you're interested in getting a sneak peek of Riyati Rivals, I'll be adding a subscription tier to Ream where regular access to Riyati Rivals's beta will update, so follow me on Ream if you might want to check this out-- especially if you're interested in seeing how the manuscripts shifts between now and release! As well, all of Riyati Rebirth is currently free for followers on Ream through the end of October (Oct 31), so if you haven't checked it out, now's the time!
Speaking of Rivals, we've had some character art come in! Rivals's character art is by Kana7o, and I'm happy to share art of two new characters in Rivals.
The first is of Lianne, Kylie's biology lab partner for the entire year. When Kylie's mom is clamping down on education, Lianne has little care for her studies. further complicating Kylie's already complicated life.

This next picture is of Richard, a friend of Jordan's that recently transferred to North Opal Pines. He displays open disdain for everyone around him except for Jordan, a contrast to near all of Jordan's lifelong school interactions.

Finally, I've opened my direct storefront for Riyati! Right now, paperback and ebook copies of Riyati Rebirth are for sale, but very soon, I hope to add in Riyati Rebirth Companion Guide and a hardback edition of Riyati Rebirth along with limited edition signed copies! Riyati Rebirth Companion Guide is so close to release, I have some pictures to share today too (though I am still a rather terrible book photographer-- they look so much better in person, I promise).This is the front cover-- a hardback with a bookmark (!), along with the first two pages of Kylie's character entry and Opal Pines's location entry.
Personal
For myself, I've been pretty busy with all of the above, but the amazing news is it's finally cooling down from "entirely too hot" temperatures where I'm at-- I'm very looking forward to cozy warm tea and cat cuddles while I write. (Rumor has it, I'm starting drafting for the third Riyati book next month, but who's to say >.> <.< )
