Hi there - I have news!
New book is out!
Something the size of a car has just fallen from space and wrecked the farmhouse.
It’s one of millions of objects falling across the globe. Nothing comes out of it – it just sits there in a puddle of goo – and then it starts growing.
---
THE COMING HARVEST is a contemporary Sci-Fi set on a Lincolnshire farm as alien pods fall across the world. A mix between John Wyndham's Day of the Triffids, Nevil Shute's On The Beach, with just a hint of The Archers.
Coming Soon
AND
These two titles are almost ready to publish - they just need some final cover artwork (although I quite like them already) - that cover work is happening at the start of July, so I'm expecting THE MIND, EXTENDED to be out mid-July and THE FRACTURED MIND to be coming at some point in August.
If you'd like to find out more about them, or you're interested in reading either of these before they're published, please follow this link. I'd be very appreciative for advance readers!
What I'm working on
Why work on the third book of the trilogy when you can work on something completely different? I'm currently a little over half way through the first draft of AUGUR'S CANON, which is about a central bureaucracy that controls all truth - there is a single Canonical source of events, and everybody in the world must follow it on pain of correction (and correction is a painful process). We follow Astrid Augur, an adjuster who works a dead-end job making sanctioned changes to the Canon. She's been at the Bureau of Information Adjustment thirty-five years before something makes her decide to try an adjustment of her own.
Don't forget the comics!
My folk horror story THE DANCE OF THE TROWS is in the upcoming BOXES comics anthology (it's the cover story, no less). The story is a fun wee 8-pager. Probably the funnest comic I've ever written, and Aimee Lockwood, the illustrator knocked it out of the park bringing the Trows to life (they're kind of like trolls - mischievous wee men).

Social media stuff
I'm doing a LOT of TikTok at the moment. If you want to know my opinions on various bookish, filmish and sci-fi things, it's all here: https://www.tiktok.com/@jwmurraywritings
That's all for now -
Cheers!
