Dear reader,
I'm hard at work on the last book in a trilogy of near-future sci-fi stories about an augmented reality future where we all have chips in our brains, but for a change, the world isn't being run by massive corporations. Just wait till you find out what does run it...
I'm incredibly proud of the series so far - I think it really goes to some interesting places, and there's a running theme of not being able to trust 'reality'. In the third one, I'm subverting things even more, with talk of body modification - it all gets a little bit cyberpunk.
The importance of reviews
I have plans to promote the series soon, however, those plans hinge on getting reviews for at least the first book - and ideally the second as well. Not only do reviews mean that people might buy it; there are also platforms where I need a certain number of reviews before they'll consider listing the book.
If you've already bought and/or read The Mind, Extended, thank you so much, for your support, and I apologise that I'm suddenly making it free. I'm doing this because ideally, I'd like you to share it with anybody in your life who likes a bit of sci-fi. They don't have to review it, but obviously it would be great if they did!
The Mind, Extended can be downloaded for free from my website, or it's 99p on Amazon - this only lasts until the 17th of this month, so there's some urgency!
Here are direct links to a post on Instagram, Bluesky, Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok - in case that's the easiest way to share.
Review links
Amazon or Goodreads (Amazon being the more important - though they don't like reviews from friends and family, so please bear that in mind).
That's about all from me for now. Hope you're doing well. Email me back if you have questions.
All the best
J. W. Murray (James)
