Yeah !
if you missed anything this week, here are your Useful Content Notes.
BIG Words doesn't mean BETTER Content
It’s possible to say SMART things in a NORMAL way.
Here are three tips to help:
These small tips will help improve HOW people watch your videos.
✅ TURN BIG WORDS INTO DEFINITIONS
If you find yourself using uncommon or longer words it may be better to use the definition of the words instead.
e.g. In the video we replace the word “Decluttering” with the words “Clean up”.
✅ TALK LIKE A FRIEND
Think about how you would talk to a good friend in real life. You wouldn’t try to impress them, you’d just relax and have a conversation.
Here’s what I do: After I write a script I read it aloud back to myself to see if sounds normal.
💡 BONUS: I often use VOICE TO TEXT to write, so this happens naturally.
✅ SLOW IT DOWN
There’s no need to rush through explanations in videos. Take your time. Emphasize. Pause if you have to. Remember your commas and full stops. If someone needs to hear it again, they’ll replay.
Remember, you’re trying to get your message across as clearly as possible.
🎉 BONUS - TURN ALL JARGON BACK TO REGULAR WORDS
For example:
Instead of "Synergy" -
↳“We work well together.”
Instead Move the needle -
↳“Really makes a difference.”
Instead of Circle back -
↳“Let talk about that later.”
You get what I’m saying. 😎
That's it!
If this was useful please reply and let me know. 😉
Be great,
