Manchester City/ Body Armor/ Zero

Hi friends,

yesterday I made a tragic mistake and forgot to save a draft of this email. So instead of a Sunday letter you now get a Monday letter!

Last week I wrote a post called How to buy a Championship about Manchester city and how Sheikh Mansour funded one of the biggest projects in sports history through some sketchy deals. Interestingly enough they are currently one of the front runners to win the contract of Lionel Messi (which will be shockingly expensive), the greatest player in the history of the sport. What I thought was most interesting about this story was how vehemently the club has fought against any charges of wrong doing, regardless of evidence.

I also got to learn about Body Armor. I couldn't think of a better name so I called it drinks & strategy, which was an awful idea, but we're here to learn and that I did. What I thought was most interesting about this companies story was how founder Mike Repole used big name stars to grow his brands. With Body Armor he used Kobe Bryant to build legitimacy and bring a new type of mentality into the company.

Finally, this week I rediscovered Zero. Zero is an app to help guide people through intermittent fasts. I've toyed with fasting for a few years now and have been on a pretty consistent schedule the last few months. I feel way better with a routine around when I eat and have already seen some significant benefits as far as energy goes. The long term benefits are incredible and it's proving itself to be an easy way to stay consistent with how I eat.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Julian
