Back to grooving in Germany

MORNING ,

The prodigal son has returned to your inbox! I got back to Germany on Friday after an extended stay at home in Atlanta.

Last week I wrote an article about what I call Dot Connectors. They are people who identify potential relationships, and make them come to fruition. I found this to be a really interesting idea, it shows that there is value to be provided by simply putting people in contact with new people and ideas. I think the most compelling version of connecting is from building networks of ideas to draw on. The main takeaway is to expose yourself to new things and find ways to connect them to each other.

The other thing I did was about my experience making sandcourts.info. It talks about the whole process I went through building the site on Carrd & how I got a bunch of users on it. Right now I am building another version of the product, which really means learning a new programming framework (Nuxt.js). Learning a new shiny tool is the easiest way to get distracted, but who doesn't like getting distracted

This week I found a really cool mix by Bonobo on NTS Radio. NTS Radio is an online Radio project that lets residents & guests play whatever they want. Plus, they pay the musicians well. This week I listened to a bunch of random stuff on NTS; like a Sahara Mix (Arabic), New Wave Hong Kong and a mix by a Rhythm/Rap mix by Duckwrth (very groovy).

Let me know how your week was, and what you're looking forward to this week! I'm looking forward to spending the week reading, watching movies and thinking about how I'm going to spend the next few months.

Thanks for reading this!
