10 years.
That is how long it has taken.
When I was a kid, I had big dreams. But I always felt like they were fleeting. It always felt like I would never make them happen.
One of my first ever goals? Write a book.
And after sharing that dream with my English teacher, Mrs.H, she said:
"Juan, writing is a gift you're born with and you... just weren't."
I was crushed. And I believed her. Which caused me to let that dream go.
10 years later, we are months away from launching a book with Penguin as one of the youngest authors they have ever worked with. (Still can't believe it)
I have never been more excited to share this project with you and the world.
