So it's October and my birthday month

Hi everyone! The newsletter is running a bit late this time because, well...three trips for routine medical stuff over three weeks. One of those trips wasn't routine because I finally am getting my second cataract dealt with, except for the actual scheduling of the surgery. Which should hopefully be happening within the next few months.
Stuff has been happening throughout September. The Cost of Power: Return got an excellent review by Paul Weimer in the Skiffy and Fanty Show blog. You can read it here. And thanks to all of you who have bought all three volumes of the story!
My friend J. Scott Coatsworth has released the fourth book in his Tharassas Cycle, The Death Bringer. Check it out here! What's it about?
AIK WILL NEVER BE THE SAME... AND NEITHER WILL HIS WORLD
War is coming. Aik has become the Progenitor, and the Seed Mother has released him to transform the world for her alien brood. Silya and Raven, Aik's former friends, are the only ones who can save him and the world. But what if the cure is worse than the invasion?
As Silya rushes to prepare Gullton for the battle to come, she's determined to save as many people as she can. But new crises emerge that demand her attention.
Raven has his own hands full, keeping the dragon-like verent in line, while helping Silya to save the world. But what if the only way to do so is to sacrifice Aik, the man that he loves?
It's the end of the world ... or could it be the start of something new?
Meanwhile, my novella that mixes up county fairs and magic, Becoming Solo, is now on sale throughout the month of October! Becoming Solo has its roots loosely in my own county fair experiences as a 4H member, parent, and leader...well, somewhat loosely. It's also a coming-of-age story that is appropriate for young adult readers. I don't often write young adult, so Solo is one of the exceptions. Link here covers all ebook vendors including Amazon. Or you can buy it from Ingram in paperback.
That's it for this month. I'm blogging about once or twice a week right now while taking a break to clear the Martinieres out of my brain and work on the next project (though...there may be some Next Generation short stories with Eddie, Lily and Natalie. Plus Izzy and Finny). I'm still not certain if the next big project will be the dragons of the Raven Alliance story or the Goddess's Vision trilogy. At the moment, I'm resting because I have some organizational stuff to do and things to think about. I've been noticed by one of the big blogs on Substack so...who knows what that will bring? Potential overnight success?
Meanwhile, if you haven't picked up your copies of The Cost of Power trilogy yet, here are easy links to the ebook versions including all vendors!
That's all for this month!
