Announcing a new change

Well. My current mood somewhat matches the cat's expression in this picture, and maybe a little bit of Marker's expression as well.

(The cat's name is Goofy. Goofy likes to parade back and forth on the hitching rail for pets while I grain and groom Mocha and Marker. Sometimes she also tries to snatch a pellet or two of horse grain. But most of the time, she wants me to pet her. She'll also bump noses with the horses. Marker has finally stopped snorting at her. Mocha pins her ears because of Goofy's tendency to sample horse grain. Anyway.)

I have sadly decided that staying with SendFox isn't working for me. At one point I thought about moving everything to Substack, but...I can't separate subscriber lists, and they're being a pain about approving my list in a timely manner. I realized this after importing the list, only to realize that you all would be seeing my irregular blog as well as this monthly newsletter. Um. Not working. Then I discovered I needed to delete this list by hand.

Sigh. I made it work last night. In a lot of ways, it wasn't as unpleasant a job as I feared. I used old tricks from my data entry days, and as I worked, I discovered familiar emails that brought back memories. Ten years ago, I sent this newsletter out by hand. Seeing some of those familiar emails (yes, I remember some of you!) made me smile. Then there were the friend emails. The people I met at events. And so on.

But...to cut this tale of woe short, I finally decided to go with the former ConvertKit, aka Kit. The next email will be from Kit.

Is that it? Not really. I've not gotten much writing done this month because I've been dealing with a number of issues, including the advancing cataract that is being dealt with next week. Just had stuff to do. None of it was particularly exciting, but...on the other hand, I'm happy with how Vision of Alliance is beginning to unfold. I just have to do a lot of worldbuilding. We'll see how quickly I can get things to happen in that world. I'm looking forward to not having to deal with eye fatigue from the cataract--yay! This time around I know what's going on, but...it's not fun.

Not a lot else going on. The Cost of Power: Omnibus Edition is now available at all retailers in ebook form. This edition includes all three books (Return, Crucible, Redemption) as well as other material not readily available right now (but I'll probably eventually release some of it as short stories). You can find it for $7.99 at https://books2read.com/thecostofpower. The link includes Kindle.

Marker boy wants to remind you that horses love cookies, and that I can always use a few extra pennies to treat him and Mocha to special treats. He's partial to apples; Mocha to peppermints. If you want to buy me a coffee, feel free to do so here!

Buy me a coffee and thanks!

That's it for this month. See you on Kit next month.
