🏠 Chaos, Coffee, and a Couple of New Books

Dear Readers and Friends,

You know how sometimes life feels like one long “previously on…” montage?

Mine definitely does. Since I last wrote, I’ve sailed through the Panama Canal (10/10 recommend unless you dislike humidity and adventure) and moved into a brand-new house my daughter designed. That’s right—she’s an aspiring architect, and now I’m living inside her very first blueprint. Every time I walk into the kitchen, I half expect her to pop out with a laser pointer and say, “See? Perfect sightline to the coffee maker.”

But don’t worry—we’re still traveling about fifty percent of the time and I'll still be full of stories from our journeys. We just decided it might be nice to have a home base for a while.

Between buying sofas, tables, and beds (since we didn’t have any after living in an RV) and marveling at my daughter’s brilliance, I somehow also managed to publish two books! (Finally!)

Yup. Two books I somehow forgot to tell you are already out there on Amazon, waiting for you to read.

Before I dive into those—what about you?

Are you more of a travel nonstop kind of person, or do you prefer a cozy home base and blanket situation?

🦹‍♀️ Book 1: Nemesis – A Girl’s Guide to Supervillainy

Meet Emily, an accidental villain who’s trying her best not to destroy the world (or fall for the enemy). It’s snarky, twisty, and full of heart—the start of a five-book series about friendship, found family, and what happens when good girls make delightfully bad choices.

I've been talking about this book for literally YEARS! But it's finally available on Amazon. Yay!

(And if you’d be willing to leave a quick review—because my count is currently sitting at a big fat ZERO—I’d love to send you a free copy through StoryOrigin if needed!)

💋 Book 2: Rebel – A Girl’s Guide to Supervillainy

Next up is Madison’s story—a girl with fire in her veins (literally and figuratively) who’s hiding from her past, only to find herself tangled up with a man who might just understand her darkest secrets.

If Emily was the spark that started it all, Madison is the wildfire.

Quick question for you:

When it comes to stories, do you root for the heroes, the villains, or the ones who live somewhere in the morally gray in-between? (You can probably guess which camp this series falls into.)

⚡ Coming Soon: Misfit – A Girl’s Guide to Supervillainy, Book 3

And because I can’t seem to sit still, Book 3—Misfit (Hannah’s story!)—is currently being edited. Once it’s polished, I’ll be publishing. Not sure if that’ll be December or January, but it’s coming soon!

This one’s got everything: a nosy reporter next door, a mad scientist with poor timing, and a heroine who can command storms but can’t seem to control her heart. It’s equal parts danger, banter, and disaster.

I’ve finished all five books in the series! (Yes, you may imagine me doing an evil villain laugh while saying that.) Books 3–5 just need a little editing, polishing, and maybe a few additional explosions.

☕ Life update: controlled chaos edition

Some people take breaks between writing sprints. I apparently fill mine with international travel and construction dust. But hey—both make great stories. Now, if I could only figure out a story that mixes cruise ship karaoke and mysterious strangers who may or may not be spies.

If you’ve already met Emily and Madison, thank you from the bottom of my slightly villainous heart.

If you haven’t yet, now’s the perfect time to jump in before Hannah storms onto the scene. (Haha. Did you get that pun?)

Until next time—may your week be filled with caffeine, good books, and just the right amount of Rebellion. (Haha. Another pun.)

P.S. Here’s a photo of our new kitchen (minus the open shelving around the window). Can you find the coffee pot without my daughter's laser pointer? (It's hard to believe that this kitchen has as many square feet as our entire RV used to!)
