We Poisoned the Blackberries
Jan 26, 2024 2:04 am
Congratulations to Stephanie M. Wytovich
Stephanie's most recent collection, On the Subject of Blackberries, has made it on to the preliminary ballot for the Bram Stoker Awards!
We're so proud to have put out this most personal and creative volume of Wytovich's poetry. To celebrate we're putting this beautiful, illustrated hardcover book on sale for $15 for a short time to subscribers only.
2024 Publishing Schedule
It's always scary to post the schedule for the next year. Sure these are amazing books, many of which we've already been working on for awhile, but it's also all there in black and white just how much work we'll need to do over the coming year. I never take it for granted that it will all get done. So, if you want to know what the rest of our year looks like, check it out.

EYNHALLOW Launch Party
The launch party and book signing for Eynhallow will be at Little Ghosts Books in Toronto on February 24 from 1:00-3:00. We also just found out that Little Ghosts has made it a pick for their February book box! So mark your calendars and order some books from Little Ghosts.
The Frankenstein Expert
David Sandner was recently on the Coffee Fueled Stories podcast and they covered a lot of ground about both his academic and writing career including:
- Cal State Fullerton’s special collection which is a treasure trove that includes many drafts of Dune and the papers of Phillip K. Dick, and Ray Bradbury
- Cal State Fullerton will become the leading collection of Latinx science fiction
- You can see the handwritten pages from Mary Shelley online
We'll be publishing Sandner's novella, written in the voice of Mary Shelley, titled His Unburned Heart, later this year.
Small Press Spotlight: Curious Corvid
At Halloween Hangover this year we got a chance to meet some of the people involved in Curious Corvid and were impressed with their books. It turns out that one of their poetry collections, The Chimera, by Michael Perret is on the Bram Stoker preliminary ballot. Learn more about this press.
