What would you do with a Bashful Pucking Bigfoot?
Dec 12, 2025 11:26 am
It's release day for Bashful Pucking Bigfoot! I love this story so so much. 2025 has been a crazy year for me with both highs (getting a surprise dream job with a favorite author) and lows (the sudden passing of my sister in September) but knowing I had Ollie and Phoebe's story to look forward to sharing with the world has helped me keep moving forward. And today is the day everyone can pick it up from their favorite retailer and discover them too.
Ollie is my favorite type of MMC - strong yet gentle and knows his heart. He has his *one true love* and that's it. Don't get me wrong, I love the cocky and confident flirts too but the marshmallow men are my soft spot. And Phoebe. Any woman who can make a wild turkey (the avian kind, not the alcohol kind) fall in love with her has to be someone special. LOL. She hides her vulnerability behind bravado and I totally get that.
Bashful Pucking Bigfoot releasing wide on December 12. It's book 4 in my Paranormal Hockey League series. It can be read as a standalone but it's more fun if you read the others.
What do you get when a bashful-as-puck hockey-playing Bigfoot shifter accidentally announces on national TV he’s still a virgin and his best female friend offers to help change his status? Flutters.
Ollie
I did my best to be the best team captain of the Spokane Sasquatch I could be. Even if it meant going out of my comfort zone and being a contestant on Bigfoot Finds a Bride to get publicity for my team. When refusing to have my first kiss be with a stranger and captured on camera results in getting cut from the show, my hockey team trades me away. Now I’m in New Jersey as the newest forward for the Atlantic City Devil Birds and all I want to do is focus on playing hockey. Well, hockey and my sexy cupcake baking roommate Phoebe Albright...

I’ve had a crush on Ollie King ever since his brother married my sister. I knew he didn’t date much but I didn’t realize how innocent he was until he spilled the sprinkles on reality TV. Now he’s been traded to my local hockey team and he’s my roommate. I offer to help him gain more romantic experience and act as his fiancé to allow him to focus on meshing with his new hockey team. I wish it wasn’t fake, but he’d never fall for a woman like me. I fear he’ll appreciate my talents in the bakery more than in the bedroom…
When feelings that were never fake become even more real, will our hearts admit the truth and find forever? Or will fear keep us from risking it all and savoring the sweetest love?
Bashful Pucking Bigfoot is a shifter hockey romance full of humor, heart, and heat. If you want to laugh, sigh, and swoon, not necessarily in that order, with funny, sexy shifters, this is the book for you!

When love isn’t picture perfect, sometimes you need a blank canvas to create your heart’s masterpiece.

I can't believe my luck when I get my dream artistic commission to paint a historic lighthouse. It would be perfect if I didn’t have to deal with Cameron Leeds-Hewitt, the lighthouse’s grumpy occupant who insists I keep the painting of his home secret. I love my new life living close to my brothers and teaching art along the coast of New Jersey after leaving the woods of Oregon—and heartbreak—behind. I’m not risking my heart again, no matter how tempting this not-as-grumpy-as-he-seems man is.

I love my life enjoying the serenity of the marshes surrounding my infamous family’s historic lighthouse where I live as the caretaker. Isn’t it enough I deal with young twenty-somethings in the history courses I teach at the local university? I don’t need one showing up on my doorstep with an easel and my meddling matchmaking witch of a cousin’s blessing. I tried the love-and-marriage thing years ago and the glare of the spotlight was too harsh. Violet King is too beautiful and talented to remain undiscovered as an artist. I can’t risk my heart, or the serenity of my home, hoping this time I'll be enough to stay for.
Can two healing hearts trust in each other and finally get the chance at happily ever after they deserve? Or will stubbornness and fear break their hearts all over again?
Monstrous grooms and beastly brides? Don't be afraid of falling in love... it's super-natural! Explore the entire Monster Brides series, one tantalizing happily-ever-after at a time!
If you want to start at the beginning of my Bigfoot family stories read Bigfoot Finds A Bride, also part of the Monster Brides series exclusive to Kindle Unlimited. It's the story of Ollie and Violet's older brother, Finn, and his second chance with the one he let get away.
What I'm working on now -
I'm currently writing a novella (longer than Bigfoot Finds A Bride, shorter than Bashful Pucking Bigfoot) about Lily King, cousin to the siblings. Her story will come out late spring/early summer 2026. And she told me she has siblings, maybe my Bigfoot era isn't quite done yet...
The authors of The New Romance Cafe are doing an advent calendar style giveaway from December 1 - December 23. You just need to be a member of the group and check in each day for the posts (some days will have two authors posting for double the fun!). You have to answer the membership questions and agree to the rules to join the group so we can keep it a cozy place but it's worth it for the community and the goodies. My day is December 13 (aka my birthday!) and I can't wait to give all of you a present! Here's the link to join the group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/thenewromancecafe
I'm off to write some more of Lily's story (sigh, I'm loving them and their story and the events that will kick off future stories) and binge some TV (I have a bunch of British mystery shows on Acorn and Brit Box to catch up plus all the Hallmark movies!) while I wait for Ollie and Phoebe to start landing on people's e-readers. It's like sending my child off to school and hoping they have a good day.
Trying to decide if I need popcorn...
