Bookish News and Updates (plus a fox)

Well, friends, I was hoping to have a new cover to show you for my upcoming book, From Asphalt, along with a potential preorder date, but at this point, I have NEITHER for you. Fail!
I do have a question for you about it though. I'm thinking of putting it up first on Kindle Vella, which would help me get it out earlier. Kindle Vella is a serial-type platform on Amazon, so I'd release a chapter every weekday. Do we have any Vella readers on here? (And don't worry if you're not; it would still come out in book form in August or September.) If you're a Vella reader, let me know! Respond to this email, or my post about it on Facebook.
At any rate, as a consolation prize for me not having any new bookish information for you, I have a cute picture of a fox that we saw in our neighborhood on our weekly walk. (She was so cute and not skittish, which they usually are.)
