A Few Words On Kindle Vella
Oct 23, 2023 9:46 pm
Hello my dears. Recently, I participated in Kindle Vella Madness, which is like March Madness, but with Vella stories. I asked you to vote for my story and so many of you did and sure enough it progressed to the next round (thank you thank you thank you).
I thought people might want a little refresher on what Kindle Vella is and how it works.
First and foremost, it is serial fiction, meaning it is told one episode at a time. Often these are long, ongoing stories. If your kids like Webtoons, like mine do (or if you like Wattpad or Radish), then you have an idea what serial fiction is.
With Amazon, you always get the first three episodes for free. You can read three episodes of any story you want. After that, right now, Amazon will give you 200 free tokens to read more of any story you like. Then, you can buy token packets if you choose to keep reading.
This month, I'm participating in a group promo with all types of stories (romance of varying heat levels, mystery, fantasy, etc.).
Check it out if you're curious to see how Kindle Vella works (like I say, there's zero barrier to entry--the first three episodes are always free).
My participating story is my paranormal Hansel and Gretel retelling, Every Thirteen Years. It's perfect for spooky season!
Looking for another great mystery (or a more traditional one you can read in book form)? You can check out this story by Amy Vansant.
The Girl Who Found Joy ($3.99 or free on KU)
