From Asphalt is now up for preorder on Amazon. If you'd like to order, please click HERE (or in the million other links I'll probably include in this email).

It will be available October 11th for sale. At that point, if you preordered it, it will show up in your Kindle library. Or, if you prefer paperbacks, the paperback will be available on that date (or thereabouts--sometimes there's a little lag with the paperbacks).

I'm putting it up for $.99 for about a month (maybe through Black Friday), and then the price will go up to $2.99. This lower price is a little present to you, my dear email subscribers (and any other people who take a chance on it early in the game--so please feel free to share the link with friends)!

Also, I'm looking for ARC readers for it. ARC means Advanced Reader Copy, which means I give you an early copy for free and you read it. I would then LOVE for you to leave a review on the day it releases (I don't believe Amazon will let you review before then.) You DO NOT HAVE TO LEAVE A REVIEW (please do NOT leave a review saying, "I received this for free in exchange for a review." It's against Amazon's policies for me to give you anything in exchange for a review, and that type of opening will likely get your review kicked off, and might get both of us in trouble). It's totally your choice if you review, but I WOULD REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE it if you do.

Anyway, if you'd like an ARC copy for absolutely free, please reply to this email, or sign up via Story Origin, or comment on my Facebook post, and I'll get you the copy this week.

Here's a little about it.

Paramedic Lance Patterson knows you can’t save everyone. Still, when he notices an injured dog limping along the outskirts of a car accident, he decides that maybe he can save just one more. A visit to the vet and a big bill later, Lance has another problem—the beautiful veterinary assistant that he can’t get out of his head. But even if he could get her to remember his name, he’s not sure that now is the time for love. After all, he’s got an unexpected new dog, a demanding job, and a mother who’s recovering from a recent stroke.

Becca Williams has plans much different than her life as a veterinary assistant, or her sister’s editing assistant, or any kind of assistant at all. The truth is that she likes helping people, and she’s good at it. Still, it’s time to pull away from her hyper-successful, animal-loving family and find her own way. Which doesn’t involve any hot paramedics, especially of the puppy-rescuing variety.

But when Lance needs help teaching Maverick to use her paw fully again, how can she say no?

A little time leads to a lot and soon Becca is being pulled away from her dreams. Again. And Lance is sure he can save everything. Again.

In finding each other, will they lose themselves?
