An announcement!

I'll be moving all my books to Kindle Unlimited, starting the last week of this month. I'm hoping that by July, they'll all be there, ready to read.

What does this mean for you?

  1. If you love KU, I'm about to drop a LOT of content there. This includes my full women's fiction series, my full Grey series, Four Seconds, and The Determiner series. It'll all be there and I would be honored if you would dive in and read.
  2. If you like to read on Apple Books, Kobo, Nook, or some other platform, go grab them right now!!!, because they won't be there much longer!
  3. If you haven't gotten any of the free or cheap books I have, get them now, because prices will be going up come July. I'll be listing them below if you're wondering which books and what you might be interested in.

But, Jean, why will you be moving to KU and charging more for your books? About a year ago, I decided to put a BUNCH of my books up for free or cheap. I just wanted them to get read and I didn't care if that cost me a little bit of profit. But the thing is--the really weird and ironic thing--is that I don't think my books got read more when they were cheap (with the exception of From Ashes, which I promise to put up for sale as much as possible). It's like people seemed to ignore the price point completely. Soon, I will start advertising actively again (I took a much-needed hiatus) and even though I'm willing to give things away, I'm not really willing to pay extra to give things away. (A girl's got to have some standards.)

So if you still want them cheap, then by all means, I'm practically begging you to get them for cheap or free, and I would so love for you to read them and love them and give them sweet bedtime kisses (and maybe a review or two, but no pressure).

Nut Buttery Breakfast Cookies

And finally... because you deserve it, my current favorite breakfast cookie. I often make healthy cookies for breakfast, especially over the summer. I've been looking for a higher protein one (without protein powder) and this absolutely nails it (about 9-10 grams of protein per cookie). You can use any nuts or seeds for the nut/seed butter, so if you've got allergies, the sky is the limit from peanut butter to almond butter to tahini...

1 C peanut butter (or any other nut or seed butter), a little drippy

1 C almond flour (oat flour if you have a nut allergy)

1 egg

1/4 C pure maple syrup or honey (I liked honey the best)

1 tsp baking soda

dash salt

chocolate chips (opt)

Get the nut butter a little melty, but not stupid hot. I do this by microwaving 30 seconds. Add the egg and maple syrup (or honey). Mix.

Add the almond flour, baking soda, and salt.

Combine all ingredients.

Bake at 350 for about 7 minutes.
