The Z'astra Is Here! (And the vote for a name in my next book)

May is both my birthday and Mother's Day!

(And if you're also signed up to my sweet romance/women's fic newsletter, a lot of this will be a duplicate, just so you know, and I love you for signing up for both; thank you.)

I celebrate my birthday with the enthusiasm of a child.

I spend the day (or day before) going to different stores that give freebies to the birthday girl (yes, I do). I make myself a cake, go to dinner with my husband, and then usually invite friends over for cake and ice cream. This year I think I'm going to do a regular cheesecake AND a chocolate cheesecake (ooohhh, maybe I'll post the recipe on my next email).

Anyway, I also like to celebrate in bookish ways. For May, I'll be donating a portion of my profits (10%) for all my books to Huntsman Cancer Institute. They treated my own mother for her brain tumor. I'll also be donating a hundred percent of my profits from the book about my mom, Hugging Death: Essays on Motherhood and Saying Goodbye.

Not only that, but From Gunpowder is $.99 this week (Mom LOVED a good murder mystery!)

Hugging Death will be FREE from the 12th-16th.

From Asphalt will be FREE the 26th-29th.

And Pulse will be $1.99 (the first time ever its been discounted) the 15th-20th (EMS week).
