Hey there, Kickstarter crowd!

Time got away from me - I meant to reach out to you far sooner after the conclusion of the campaign for An Emperor's Gamble Deluxe. But better late than never, eh?

As implied by the title of this email, I have some exciting news I'll get into below. But first, let's cover how Emperor went.

Our final results blew me away, with 348 backers helping us reach $42.7k funds raised for the third Legend of Tal Deluxe Edition! That's easily the best any campaign of mine has done.

I know many of you here pitched in for that, so I'll thank you again! The art is drawing ever closer to completion, then we'll get busy printing.

In case you missed the latest art release, here's the third piece from Anderson Magalhaes going into the book!

If you missed the campaign, you still have access to a limited selection from the Kickstarter over on PledgeBox. Reserve your books at the preorder store here.

Now for the exciting news! My next project is now up in prelaunch: Shadow of Legends, Book 1 of the Dragonforged Saga.

This is the first book in the sequel series to Legend of Tal, a story I've been working on for the better part of two years (on and off). Given it's the start to a brand-new series, I want to launch it in style!

Through this Kickstarter, you'll not only get the book before it launches anywhere else, but it will come in a special edition hardcover and excellent quality paperback.

Not only that, but the two editions have different cover art - so no repetition between the two!

I won't get into all the features of each - as even the paperback won't be your run-of-the-mill book. For now, you can see the typography and a hint of one of the artworks on the project banner.

Don't miss the launch in less than a month by following through the button below. And stay tuned for the cover reveal - or I should say, reveals - in the coming weeks!

I should also take a moment to address a potential concern: running a second Kickstarter while still fulfilling the previous one.

As my wife and I put together more of these campaigns, the timelines make it difficult to only run Kickstarters sequential. Done that way, we'd never get to make all the fancy books for you that we'd love to!

I can only hope my previous track record of six completed campaigns can put you at ease and not stop you from supporting Shadow of Legends if you so desire. If it helps, think of these the same way you would presses like Wraithmarked or Grim Oak, where they regularly have many projects at once.

Even with multiple books in the works, I promise I won't let quality or timelines slip on any of them.

Thanks again for your continued support! Hope you have a great rest of your week.
