Next Season Starts Today

Coach,

Long gone are the days when football season began in August and ended around Thanksgiving.

The fortunate ones are preparing right now for a high-stakes game this weekend. The majority of coaches are reflecting, hosting banquets, and taking some much-needed downtime after the grind of another season.

Some of the items that will need to be addressed this off-season include:

  1. Off-Season Strength and Conditioning: Aside from the obvious importance of gaining strength and preventing injury, the off-season strength and conditioning program allows for endless opportunities for teams to bond and compete as they improve and build confidence.
  2. Promoting Multi-Sport Athletes: Promoting and supporting your athletes as they compete in other sports is important. It allows athletes more opportunities to compete and be successful while building well-rounded, complete players.
  3. Fundraising: How can we creatively fundraise to allow our program to give back to those who put so much in? Opportunities like this generate the "extras" that put your program ahead of others.
  4. Spring Practice: Get the most out of spring practices to prepare your team for upcoming challenges.
  5. Summer Workouts: Don't lose the strength and skill development that you've gained through the school year. The summer schedule is important as it allows for structure in an often unstructured time.
  6. Summer Team Camp: Explore the benefits of team camps for building team cohesion, refining skills, and developing strategies.
  7. In-Season Practice Schedule: Create a practice schedule during the season that balances skill maintenance, strategy, and injury prevention.

Building Champions in the Off-Season Course

We walk you through each month of a process that was extremely successful at Saguaro High School.

While off-season limitations and opportunities will vary from state to state, one thing is clear: a plan is critical.

Thank you for your continued support!
