Konnichiwa from the Japan Switch Team!
Once upon a time, Halloween in Shibuya was legendary.
We're talking tens of thousands of people in wild costumes, getting lit, that rivaled the Mardi Gras in ferocity.
But it got real messy real quick. Trash everywhere, noise all night, and in 2018, four dudes flipped a truck. And I don't mean they pimped that ride; they physically flipped it over.
So now, Shibuya's Halloween is basically over. You can't drink on the street. Konbini can't sell alcohol. Cops are everywhere. Hachiko is fenced off.
Fortunately, Japan has plenty to offer in the way of Halloween festivities!
So let's get into it!

Ultimate Guide to Japanese Superstitions
Let me tell you something. If we've got anything in Japan, we've got ghosts and we've got superstitions. And boy, oh boy, do we have a lot of 'em! If a hearse drives by, you better hide your thumbs. Why? Because ghosts will possess you by entering your body through your thumbnails. *shudder* I'm getting the shivers just thinking about it, so I'll leave the rest to you! Read on for more!
