Top 15 Japanese Kanji Tips

Everybody’s got a method for learning kanji. This textbook. That app. Those flashcards. But not every method will be for everyone. More than that, it will come down to the unique combination of methods that you’re motivated to be consistent with. While we wholeheartedly endorse SRS like Anki, for example, buying some kanji paper (genko yoshi) and actually writing them out might be a better fit for your learning style. Like I said, it's about finding the right tools that work for you. One thing that personally helped me was using shows like Terrace House and certain anime to help level up my listening. It might sound impossible at first and you might only catch the odd daijoubu here and there, but give it time. You'll start catching unique parts of speech and start to understand how certain ideas are expressed - and that will go a long way to helping you become more fluent!
