Quick Take:

In the age of powerful AI-generated content writing tools, organizations must take an active role in fostering conversations about the implications of these revolutionary technologies.

As the Director of Graduate Studies at Avila University’s School of Education, I recently experienced firsthand the difficulties associated with accepting and integrating AI tools into traditional academic practices. As a result, I understand why team members may feel apprehensive or threatened when presented with unfamiliar technological capabilities.

It is essential that leaders create the space for honest and open dialogue so team members can express their perspectives and discuss their concerns surrounding the use of AI tools. Without such conversations, fear, suspicion, and confusion are allowed to fester and can damage relationships within a team.

By creating a culture dedicated to open dialogue and collaborative problem-solving, organizations can actively prepare themselves for integrating AI technologies into their workflow. This type of environment will ensure teams can effectively tackle the complexities introduced by AI and make informed decisions about how to harness its power to maximize productivity and efficiency.

SHAMELESS PLUG:

If you are still new to the world of generative artificial intelligence (think ChatGPT and Jasper), then you might want to check out this free course I created to share the basics.

The course remains a work in progress and currently doesn't include any snazzy bells and whistles. I just wanted to get the information out as quickly as possible.

And, did I mention it's free?!!? https://academy.leadingedgeteachers.com/courses/Revolutionize-Your-Teaching-With-AI
