The Parable of the Banana🍌

Glee greetings, dear ,

I trust this musing finds you well and thriving in the Lord. I'd like to share a parable that's not in the bible. I think it should be added (kidding!)

Once, in a church, a pastor was delivering a sermon on holiness, emphasizing its importance both inside and out.

A clever brother, seeking to engage the pastor's sermon, posed a thought-provoking question: "When you eat a banana, what do you eat? The inside? Or the outside?"

The pastor pondered for a moment and replied, "The inside."

The brother continued, "So God is more concerned with what is on the inside, the heart, than what is on the outside, our appearance."

For a second, the pastor was thrown off balance and didn’t know what to say next. The congregation was in deep reflection when the pastor, guided by the Holy Spirit, posed a counter-question: "When you go to buy bananas, how do you know if the banana is good? What do you look at? The inside? Or the outside?"

The brother, with humility, admitted, "The outside."

The pastor responded, "This is because holiness on the inside will show on the outside. Our bodies are God's temple. Having a clean heart is essential, but knowing how to comport and present yourself as a child of God is equally important."

, this simple yet profound exchange teaches us a powerful lesson. Holiness is not a matter of mere appearance or inner purity alone. It's the harmonious blending of both. Just as the quality of a banana can be assessed by its exterior, your faith is often judged by your actions, conduct, and how you present yourself to the world.

Remember that both inner holiness and outward manifestation of your faith are essential. By nurturing your heart and living a life that reflects God's love, you can be a testament to His grace in a vile and evil world.

May this parable guide you in your pursuit of righteousness, both inside and out, . Keep your heart pure and your actions righteous, for in doing so, you become a living testament to the love and grace of our Heavenly Father.

Happy Sunday, !

In His service,
