It's I, Jaachị again, and I hope this Thursday morning musing finds you doing well and thriving in life. Today, I am writing about something that's close to my heart – finding peace within.
You know, , life can be one rollercoaster ride, and it's easy to get caught up in the chaos around you. But let me tell you a little secret: if you cannot find peace within yourself, you're in for a wild goose chase trying to find it anywhere else. Newsflash! You'll never find it elsewhere!!
It might sound cliché, but it's true, . Peace is not something we find in external circumstances or material possessions. It starts with you, right inside your heart and mind.
5 Ways Of Ensuring Self-peace
1. Self-awareness is the key: Take some time to tune in to your emotions and thoughts. Understand what makes you tick, what brings you joy, and what triggers your stress. When you become aware of yourself, you can start making positive changes.
2. Embrace imperfections: We're all beautifully flawed creatures, and that's okay! But, sadly, there are people who are at war with how they look, how they talk, how they walk, how they this, and how they that. They feel insecure about their existence, appearance, etc hence losing their peace of mind and seeking validation from external sources. This ought not to be, . If this sounds like you, embrace your imperfections and learn to love yourself just the way you are. Understand that you are whole, complete, and heck, you are beautiful! You will find peace, I assure you. It's a journey, but it's worth it.
3. Let go of what doesn't serve you: Release those negative energies, grudges, regrets, and people! Yes, people too!! You don't need, in your life, people who rob you of peace, calm, and quiet. Holding on to grudges, regrets, hatred, negative energies, and toxic people will only drag you down, . Free yourself from that baggage and make room for peace and soothing positivity.
4. Mindfulness matters: Engage in mindful practices like meditation or just 'minding your business.' Don't be a busybody in other people's matters. Focus on your own life purpose and goals. Avoid those gossip mills and merchants of disturbing news. They might seem woo-woo, but trust me, they work wonders in grounding you and finding inner peace.
5. Cultivate gratitude: Are you the type that is always counting losses and recounting past ugly events that hurt you sore? That's no way to heal, . Learn to focus on the little things that bring you joy and be thankful for them. Gratitude opens up a whole new world of positivity. Gratitude guarantees peace!
6. Surround yourself with good vibes: Your friends impact your life, positively or negatively. Be mindful of the people you hang out with, .
