The Son Still Shine
Good morning, !
I hope this musing finds you well and happy on this beautiful Sunday morning. I am writing to share with you some thoughts and insights on life, faith, and hope.
Today, I want to talk to you about the power of praise. Most Christians think praise is just a form of worship, but it is also a weapon of warfare. Praise can lift our spirits, strengthen our faith, and overcome our fears. Praise can also change our perspective, and help us see the light in the midst of darkness.
Some time in 2016, I wrote a poem that expresses my feelings and thoughts on praise. I hope you enjoy it and find some inspiration from it.
The Son Still Shine
If the sun is always shinning
If the stars are always bright
This gloom won't soil my music
This hurt won't halt my hallelujah
But the sun can't dare night time
And stars shy away from dawn
Though I wish to dwell all time
On the silver line of hope
Clouds, they're gathering
A conference of storm looming
I'll sing still, sweet hallelujah songs
Soon, the Son will shine like the morning sun
...there's a promise coming down the dusty road
on the flip side of time
the Son shall shine always
and stars ever bright
twinkling to my hallelujah song.
This poem is based on my personal experience of going through some difficult times in my life. I have faced some challenges and struggles that have tested my faith and hope. I have felt the pain of loss, lack, and limitations, the fear of uncertainty, and the doubt of despair. I have wondered why God allows such things to happen, and how I can cope with them.
But in the midst of my trials, I have also learned to praise God. I have learned to thank Him for His goodness, mercy, love, and grace. I have learned to trust Him for His promises, plans, and purposes. I have learned to sing to Him, even when I don't feel like it, don't see it, and don't understand it.
I have learned that praise is not dependent on my circumstances, but on my God. I have learned that praise is not a reaction, but a choice. I have learned that praise is not a denial, but a declaration. I have learned that praise is not a feeling, but an expression of faith!
And as I praise God, I have seen His power at work in my life. I have seen Him turn my mourning into dancing, my sorrow into joy, and my weakness into strength. I have seen Him heal my wounds, restore my soul, and renew my mind.
I have seen Him shine His light into my darkness, and reveal His glory in my story. I have seen Him fulfill His word, and confirm His will. I have seen Him heal me, provide for my needs, answer my prayers, and exceed my expectations. I have seen Him be faithful, and be good.
And that is why I praise Him. That is why I sing hallelujah. That is why I look forward to the day when the Son will shine like the morning sun, and the stars will be ever bright, twinkling to my hallelujah song.
, I don't know what you are going through right now. I don't know what challenges you are facing, what struggles you are enduring, or what fears you are battling. But I do know this: God is with you, God is for you, and God is in you. And He is worthy of your praise.
So I encourage you to praise Him today, . Praise Him for who He is, what He has done, and what He will do. Praise Him in the morning, in the noon, and in the night. Praise Him in the storm, in the valley, and in the desert. Praise Him in the good times, in the bad times, and in the in-between times. Praise Him with your words, with your actions, and with your life.
Praise Him, and watch Him work wonders in your life. Praise Him, and watch Him change your situation. Praise Him, and watch Him transform your heart. Praise Him, and watch Him fill you with His joy, peace, and love.
Praise Him, and watch Him shine His light on you. Glory!
