Accuracy isn’t enough

Hey
You ever spend days fixing something, improving something, shipping something solid...
Only to find out later that nobody used it?
It’s brutal.
You know the system’s better.
You know the change helps them.
But the adoption? Low. The feedback? Meh. The impact? Invisible.
Here’s the hard truth I had to face…
People don’t adopt work they don’t understand.
And “understand” doesn’t mean knowing the logic.
It means seeing how it connects to their goals.
Most engineers, me included, were taught to explain things with precision.
We say:
- The batch size dropped from 10,000 to 1,000
- The model drift is now below 0.2
- The query speed is 8x faster
Sounds great to us.
But to a business stakeholder?
It means nothing.
They care about churn, revenue, cost, and risk.
Not Spark configs or pipeline reliability. Not even model accuracy, unless it changes a KPI.
This is the gap. And once you learn to close it, everything changes.
You stop feeling invisible.
You start getting early buy-in.
And people finally see you as a partner, not just a builder.
Inside the course, I share something called the Communication Swap Sheet. It’s a simple tool that shows how to reframe your work using language they actually care about.
Here’s a quick taste:
Instead of saying…
“This reduces latency by 35%”
Say…
“This helps us avoid customer churn due to slow loading times”
See the difference?
👉 Join the early access list here to get the full sheet and the framing checklist, plus everything we’ve talked about over the last 6 emails.
Tomorrow I’ll send you the final message before the launch. It’s about why I built this course, what’s inside, and what happens next.
If you miss the window, you miss the opportunity to get all the bonuses.
