Australian fuel surcharge gone, Currencyfair issues and travel insurance

Hi ,
Stephen here from Irisharoundoz.com. Welcome new subscribers from Moving to Australia Tips and Irish Moving to Australia Facebook communities!
Latest updates:
- Money transfer update: I have seen a lot of posts, comments, and reviews, and enough to say that Currencyfair is still having issues with customers based in Australia. There does not seem to be any issues with people in Ireland/Europe sending funds to Australia. But I would avoid it; I have had several messages and emails from people having problems, and until things are back on track, I think it is better to use Wise or OFX. Free transfer with Wise here and discounted rate with OFX here.
- Why? OFX is excellent for larger transfers, 5K++, and Wise is great for your everyday transfers. I use it as my main bank now.
- 🛄On a positive note, that annoying fuel surcharge has finally stopped! This means shipping is cheaper, much cheaper in some cases
- I can now confirm that the Emergency Surcharge has been removed for Ireland to Australia (and vice versa routes), which is a massive price drop, now bringing a suitcase from IE to AU down to €286.67, which is down from €355.37 And, of course, grab your extra 5% off only at irisharoundoz.com/sendmybag
- And if you need to send more stuff via boat, Seven Seas Worldwide have extended their shipping discount, offering a massive 10% off the entire shipping price. With three different sizes and the large Move Cube, you can fit a small house's worth of stuff. Get your quote here irisharoundoz.com/sevenseasworldwide
