One of the most common things women say to me is:
“But my doctor already tested my hormones and said everything looked normal.”
Meanwhile they’re still dealing with:
• exhaustion
• anxiety
• poor sleep
• belly fat
• brain fog
• overwhelm
• mood swings
• low libido
• feeling emotionally unlike themselves
So what gives?
Here’s the important thing to understand:
Hormones are not static.
They fluctuate throughout the day and throughout the month.
This is one reason standard bloodwork can sometimes miss the bigger picture especially when it comes to stress hormones and hormone rhythm patterns.
For example:
Cortisol, your primary adrenal stress hormone changes throughout the day.
A single blood draw often CANNOT fully show:
→ your daily cortisol rhythm
→ stress adaptation patterns
→ nervous system overload
→ adrenal depletion patterns
→ whether your body is stuck in “go mode”
and so much more!
Again, because cortisol “conducts” the entire hormone orchestra, this matters A LOT.
When cortisol rhythms become dysregulated, it can begin affecting:
→ progesterone
→ estrogen
→ testosterone
→ DHEA
→ sleep
→ metabolism
→ inflammation
→ mood
→ energy
This is why I use a functional saliva hormone test in my practice.
It’s a simple take-home test that evaluates:
• cortisol throughout the day
• estrogen
• progesterone
• testosterone
• DHEA
This way, we can understand the FULL hormone symphony instead of looking at one isolated snapshot.
Testing only one hormone or looking at a single moment in time rarely tells the whole story.
The goal isn’t to label you as broken.
The goal is to finally understand what your body has been trying to communicate.

P.S. Many women spend YEARS being told they’re “fine” while their nervous system, stress hormones, sleep, metabolism, and hormone orchestra are clearly asking for support.
