By now you have probably received your latest property tax assessment from Bexar County. You may be wondering if there are any ways you can address property tax challenges, so it was timely when Director of Constituent Services La-Tieka Sims wrote to let us know about District 1’s Property Tax Protest and Homestead Exemption Townhall.

What: Property Tax Protest and Homestead Exemption Townhall

When: Thursday, April 14th, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Where: The Public Theatre of San Antonio, 800 W Ashby.

Presenting at the meeting will be Michael Amezquita, Chief Appraiser at Bexar Appraisal District and Rich Acosta from My City is My Home.

A clinic will follow the presentations, providing attendees an opportunity to sign up to receive assistance with having their property taxes protested and receive information regarding other resources available.

District 1 says please feel free to share the attached flyers with friends, family, and neighbors (even if they don’t live in D1).
