Intensive rehabilitation helped Michael Flores return to his life after a massive heart attack.💪👏
There was hardly a dry eye as Michael walked out of Whittier on his own, after a long recovery from a massive heart attack. We were overjoyed for him and his lovely family and we all celebrated in his success! ❤ See the video here.

Retirement Celebration | Whittier Westborough
Terry Petruska, RD, LDN retired after an amazing 21 years as our Chief Clinical Dietitian.
Terry said that the team approach was what she loved most about working here, and that team communication has been so vital to the betterment of the patients. She said it was a tough decision to retire, but she is looking forward to more time with her grandkids, more time at the beach and getting back into singing in her church choir. We miss her already!

Nursing Week | Whittier Bradford + Westborough
It was all about our nurses in May! 👏 💙️
Our hospitals held week-long celebrations in honor of our nurses. They are collaborators, educators, care coordinators, advocates, and change agents, and they help our patients on their journeys back to wellness and physical independence. We are grateful for our dedicated nurses - they are the best of the best!
Nurturing the next generation | Whittier Westborough
A salute to our MassBay Community College RN students on a job well done! 💪💙
Their success in their last clinical rotations before graduation is a testament to our role in developing great caregivers who are about to embark on nursing careers in the real world. Their thank you notes for the nursing staff, nursing assistants, and respiratory staff on the West Wing expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn from our team.
Service Spotlight | Occupational Therapy
Whittier’s OTs prepare people to return home by practicing everyday tasks while gaining the strength, coordination, and endurance to succeed.
Whittier’s occupational therapists treat our clients along the full spectrum of care settings: inpatient, transitional care, and outpatient. Our patients may regain their prior level of function in self-care, fine motor skills, work, and leisure pursuits and get back to performing activities of daily living (ADLs) at home and in the community.
