Faith & Life Lessons – July 6, 2025

image

Welcome to the July 6th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

I was a bit under the weather for some days during the week. As expected, I took medication and tried to recalibrate to get better.

On Sunday morning, still feeling under, I started considering that perhaps Monday would mean a visit to the doctor.

Well, during service, I got a sense that this was more than just the occasional stress or change-in-weather induced illness.

I started to sense that it had a bit to do with the tasks I had set for myself in the coming weeks. I have mapped out 4 free masterclasses for the month. Over the weekend, I was mapping out a couple of masterclasses for the month of August.

These are opportunities I am creating to bring transformation to people.

At work and in their Christian faith.

I was reminded that this is warfare. Not a stroll in the park.

I have a unique task of carrying the sword & the trowel.

In faith and life.

And that is what I train others to.

Someone once asked me, “Are you a workplace coach, pastor, or real estate professional?”

I live in all and live for God, living all.

And training others to do the same.

I am fighting to win.

Things I Learnt

1 - Crafting Prayers: During the week, I crafted a prayer for something God had called me to do.

Why did I craft a prayer?

I do that so I can have consistency in what I am praying about.

It also has an additional benefit.

As I craft such prayers, I am also processing a lot of emotions. I put some of those emotions in the prayers.

Those emotions are part of my prayers.

They are part of the tears that I offer when I pray.

Crafted prayers are my way to bring the full offering of myself in the prayers I make to God.

2-Spreading the Gospel of a Bad Product: I attended a meeting during which a team was presenting their marketing plan to drive the sales of a particular product.

For some strange reason, I wasn’t fully convinced. I felt their plan was missing something.

I asked a member of the sales team who was at the meeting what were her impressions of the plan.

Her feedback highlighted a lesson someone had told me a while back.

Great marketing of a bad product does not lead to sales - it just lets more people know how bad the product is.

According to her, they had fundamental issues with the product that marketing would not solve.

After listing out some of the issues, I told her to meet with the rest of her team and come up with proposals on improving the product by addressing some of the fundamental issues.

After the meeting, I spoke with the marketing team’s representative. My advice: “Do accept a lemon if you can push for an orange.”

Yep…just because they said jump, doesn’t mean you jump into a ditch.

Postscript

May you show up with courage and stand up for what matters most on your road to success. Amen
