Welcome to the November 24th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.
I got a kind compliment on one of the books I had written a few years back.
Thinking about the compliment and the motivation that I had for writing it - I have come a long way.
I wrote it because I wanted to share something that had helped make me better with more people.
My writing style was good but not at the level I am at now.
The only thing that defines progress is taking action.
If I hadn’t started writing earlier, I would not have been able to write that book.
If I had not written that book and continued writing, I would not have published the book “Winning Beyond Borders: Achieving Success at Work in a New Country.”
I am sure that some of the things I am doing today will create progress for the things I will be doing in the future.
Never stop starting.
Keep moving forward.
Let today create exciting things in the future.
Things I Learnt
1 - Lessons From Life: During the week, I was asked to have a mentoring session with a bunch of interns. They are fresh from the university.
Someone thought it would be a great idea for them to learn from my mistakes.
Yes, that’s what I call such mentoring sessions.
People should learn from missteps as well as the right steps.
So, I shared as much as I could to give them a leg-up.
I was glad for the opportunity.
And hoping that something in my story would make their road less burdensome.
Not less difficult.
Why?
Because we will all have challenges on our way. We will all make mistakes along the way.
It helps to know that someone else who didn’t do everything right came out right on the other side.
They will come out right too.
2 - God of Encouragement: On Sunday, I ran into two people I had been praying for. I have a prayer list and they are on it.
They show up three times a week on it.
I told both of them that I was praying for them.
It was an encouragement to them.
It is one of those encouragement that God gives to us because we are members of His family.
Others have done the same thing for me, and I know do the same thing for others.
God of encouragement - showing up for us as we show up for ourselves.
Postscript
May you find the encouragers God has planted along your way as you go through life. Amen
