This may change how you run things on Saturdays

Hola ,

I know it’s Saturday so you have fun and rest on your mind.

Unless some social event dragged you out of your me-time.

Let me share with you something I discovered a few years ago that helped me “buy back” my me-time from social events.

I learned to evaluate social events on whether my presence would be missed or not.

For the ones that my presence would not be missed, I have an option – to attend or not to attend.

I now weigh my attendance against my well-being - does my need for emotional, mental or, physical rest outweigh my showing up?

If my well-being needs tips the scale but my relationship with the person puts me in a difficult position, that is when the buy-back option comes in.

Let me give you an example. A former colleague of mine had an event that would take me a considerable commute time due to traffic. If I went, my whole Saturday was toast.

But I wanted to honor her.

I went and bought a gift that she would appreciate in honor of the event.

I showed up at her office days before the event to give her the gift and apologized that I would not be able to attend the event.

She was so happy – the way I did the whole gift thing showed her it was not an afterthought. It was an intentional plan to celebrate her milestone event even if I could not show up.

I was happy – I gave my body and mind the rest needed after a busy working week.

These are practices that you can learn and adapt after you attend the 3 Power Leverage for Successful Christian Living Online Live Training.

The class is still on at 75% discount and 3 great bonuses of a video course, a masterclass training and ebook with an audiobook.

I look forward to seeing you on the inside.

Now let's get back to a restful Saturday.
