Howdy ,
No matter how much we fight it, money is still an issue that drives our working careers.
It may not be the main issue but it will be a question that comes up now and again.
Maybe you think you should be getting more, you need more, you should spend more or spend less.
Those are secondary considerations.
The first consideration about money is this.
What is your highest value?
Your highest value will show up in how you make money and use money.
Let me explain.
My highest personal value is my faith.
This means I interpret money through the lens of my faith.
I am committed to sending money to my parents and parents-in-law every month because it aligns with my faith.
I am committed to staying at a particular job even when I could move to another job with a bigger pay because my faith asks me to do it.
And I was committed to refusing the first salary offer I got for a new role because it would not allow me to meet the demands that my faith had shown I needed to address in the new season of life I was entering into. Eventually, I got a revised offer which my faith told me not to renegotiate. The new amount more than covered what I needed as I lived through the new season.
My personal faith value inspires me to ask for more or take less - it all depends.
It also gives me a view of how I use money - giving it out, investing it, and everything in-between.

Start with making and using money in a manner congruent to your highest value.
Do you even know what your highest value is?
Start with identifying your 10 prime values. Then select the top 5, next to the top 3, and finally, the Number 1.
Then check if your money life aligns with it.
Build your money life around your values.
