Hola ,
I had a usual business situation that resolved itself uniquely yesterday.
On Friday, someone from the leadership team overseeing the company I lead asked me for a call.
During the call, she said the head of the leadership team had sent an email to them raising some points of concern about the business I was leading.
I was bit surprised because none of the issues she mentioned were new.
All of them had been points I had raised as recent as this month.
Anyway she sent me the list of issues and I drafted an email responding to all of them.
I was pretty pissed off by the whole thing.
I made that very clear during the call.
But I was able to push my emotions to the side as I drafted the email.
As I was writing I felt a nudge in my heart from God.
He was telling me that this was for good.
Any how, I have always believed in confronting issues with the main person that raised an issue.
So, on Saturday, I sent a message to the head of the leadership team that I would like to speak with him.
Before sending the message, I had spent a bit of time rehearsing what I was going to say.
He responded to say I could call him anytime.
I called.
He picked.
As I began the conversation, I felt God speak that I should not present my position but rather ask that I want to understand the reason for the whole email.
As it turned out, it had nothing to do with me.
By the end of the call, I got commitment for funding on a key project I am working on.
It all resolved for good like God had said.
This ability to hear God and listen to Him even at work is something that will mark us as members of the tribe.
This is how we roll in our tribe.
