Starting the year with peace, not pressure | Faith & Life Lessons

This week felt like God saying: slow down, clean up, and stay close.

Welcome to the January 4th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

Howdy ,

Happy new year, friends.

This first week of the year has been a gentle reset for me.

Not a loud one.

More like a quiet return to what matters.

I am entering 2026 with expectation, yes, but also with a decision: I want progress without panic.…

The Story of My Week.

A New Year.

What is new about the year?

Just the calendar or something more. For me, it’s something more. I spent days and months building to this.

I am not just a 12-month kind of guy. I am a 90-day kind of guy. I run the cycle of my tasks and objectives over 90 days.

Why?

Because I have more control to carry the responsibility over 90 days than over 12 months.

It’s not all on me – God is still involved.

I have a bigger longer term vision. It is not 12 months – this is for 5 years. Yes, I m building for 5 years but measuring my actions for a 90-day action frame.

Simple.

A new year. A new 90-day run that leads into 4 90-day run to create a 12-month cycle.

Which builds into my 5 year vision.

A vision that involves my family, ministry, business & impact.

2026 is going to be a great year.

A part of my 5-year vision.

Happy New Year.

Things I Learnt

1-Peace needs a structure, not just a desire: On December 31, I mapped the year around three pillars: body, family, business.

In my business, I also defined daily actions like writing, outreach, making an offer, and building an asset.

I want big outcomes, but I do not want to be overwhelmed.

Peace is easier to keep when your days have clear anchors.

I am tracking my daily anchors and adjusting before stress becomes my default.

2-Community that lasts is not accidental: In my mastermind meeting, I asked if everyone still wanted to commit.

Everyone said yes, and some shared how people are surprised we have kept it going for over five years.

It reminded me that consistency is rare, and that is why it stands out.

Healthy brotherhood is built, protected, and renewed, not assumed.

I am exploring how to help others build circles that last.

Practice for the Week

Reflect: Where have I been trying to prove myself by doing more, instead of staying close and doing what is needed?

Pray: Lord, teach me your pace. Help me build with peace. Show me the small things to clean up, and give me grace to do them quickly.

Act: Pick one loose end you have been avoiding (a message, a payment, a follow up) and close it today.

Want extra accountability?

Hit reply with one sentence: This week I need grace to slow down and still trust God for ____.

Postscript

May the new year bring you closer to the dreams God has for you. Amen
