I’m sure you have heard this said before.
“You are paid by the value you bring to work”
The mistake some of us make is thinking that we multiply our value by working harder.
Yea, there is a time to work harder but that’s not what this is about.
And please, don’t bring the “work smarter” talk into this.
This is more.
To multiply your value, you need to multiply how you serve.
At work, most of us think we serve the people that we see every day.
Let’s borrow a leaf from Joseph.
He was called to interpret dreams for a pharaoh.
He multiplied his value by serving the people pharaoh is meant to serve - the people of Egypt.
He could have stopped at just using His God-given gift of dream interpretation for 1 man. He went deeper by using Godly inspiration to develop a plan to help that 1 man save a nation.
To practice this effectively, you need to have the discipline of going at least 3 levels higher on the value transfer line.
We’ll talk more about that another time.
Today you need to ask yourself this “how can I serve the people that the people I meet with everyday serve “
