Welcome to the July 23rd edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week
One of the friends I connected with on a paid program last year has had a challenge that she runs monthly.
It’s her full-time gig so running it monthly, 5 days at a time, is no biggie for her.
She also simplified it by bringing in other people to speak. It’s a great opportunity to introduce her audience to new people and also introduce herself to those people’s audience.
We were part of a small group during the paid program and she gifted us all with VIP access to the monthly challenges.
During the week, I caught up on the July challenge.
And I met someone new.
Did I tell you it was a financial challenge?
Over the last couple of months, I’ve been ruminating on the right set of financial strategies to adopt for my 10-year goal.
Well, the lady she had on Tuesday was just what the doctor ordered.
After her session, I went to her website and signed up with her. Interestingly, she was giving out pdf versions of 4 of her bestseller books.
Listening to her and reading her book, I could see the pieces falling into place.
It’s interesting how simple relationships create a multiplier effect.
A reminder for me to treat everyone well when I meet them.
They might open a door I need in the future.
Things I Learnt
1-Never a No-Win Situation: if you keep asking more people, a no-win situation can change into a new opportunity.
I saw this happen during the week.
It wasn’t the same type of opportunity but a new opportunity.
It only takes seeing it with fresh eyes.
There are no no-win situations. Only new opportunities.
As the song goes, “You got to know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em.”
2-Respecting Privacy: I have a couple of lessons to share but I can’t share them.
Why?
Because they are a bit private.
Not just to me but to some of the people involved.
This is one of the things I always strive for - share what matters in a way that protects those it matters to.
So, you are not getting another lesson.
Just a reminder to protect the privacy of those that matter.
Even in an age of “share some more on social media for us”.
Remember to protect privacy.
Postscript
May the Lord bless and keep you. Amen.
