Ok, so while I've made some updates to the mobile application, I am dealing with some kind of strep throat and can't record a video walking through it with anyone.
Here's a quick little summary of the things I worked on with the app though:
- Creating a reko (Pickup time/location)
- Requesting a refund or rescheduling a pickup
- Giving some thought to how to let people rate their pickups
Speaking of reko, let me give a quick little explanation about that word. So it's a contraction of two Finnish words that translate to responsible consumption, and that is what the idea of a reko ring is that reko.day is trying to bring to mobile devices.
In a nutshell, a reko represents a designated time and place where people gather to pick up their orders from local gardeners and farmers. Before the scheduled time, farmers list what they have for sale, and people can place orders for them. So when it's time to go to the reko the farmers have everyone's order ready, and pickup is quick and smooth.
On to the next bit, I have a new logo to show off. Let me know what you think!
Last but not least, I'd like to talk with you.
Like on the phone or google meet or whatever. I want to hear what you think about reko.day and the application so far. I want to hear your ideas for what would be cool and use that to make the application even better. This conversation would only take 15-30 minutes.
Your conversations will make this application better for everyone, so schedule some time and let's talk!
As always, you can reply to this email and I'll get it. Talk soon!
Sincerely,
Ryan
