You didn’t really run a “We’ve got you covered” ad, did you?

I’ll give you five better ideas. You can steal the ads while you’re at it.

You know the ad.


Agency logo. Stock photo of a smiling family. Maybe a house in the background. That carrier logo to get the co-op money.


"We've got you covered."


And right underneath it: "Get a free quote today."


There's nothing technically wrong with any of it. That's the problem.


It could be an ad for any agency, shown to any person, on any Tuesday of the year.


The prospect has no reason to care.


The insurance ads I like start with something that actually happened to the person:


Those are insurance conversations that already exist. You don't have to convince somebody to suddenly become interested in insurance. You have to show up with the right message when they already have a reason to think about it.
