Putting in Together for a Better Gift

Hey there Mumma,

Spring has well and truly sprung! Hayfever has hit some in our family, thankfully I seem to be free to enjoy the scents flying around... I hope you are enjoying this transition from wet and cold winter to the season of renewal.

Now, with the weather warming up, parties seem to pop up even more frequently. Is your weekend calendar getting booked up with kids birthday parties for all of your little loves' friends and classmates? Sometimes its hard to keep up with all of the gift choosing and buying, particularly with the current cost of living squeeze on everyone's finances.

One way to cut yourself a little financial slack and give the planet a break from endless consumerism, is to put in together with a group of parents for one really special gift. Putting in together for a group gift means you have more scope to buy something of a higher quality with less "stuff" being gifted and wrapped, meaning less manufacturing and less things ending up in landfill at some point...

Amongst my kids' group of friends, the Mummas often put in together and organise a group gift, which I am always happy to participate in!

Do you club together for group gifts? What's the coolest group gift you've been part of? Hit reply and let me know.

Chat soon,

Michelle
