Self Care Rituals for Each Season

Helloooo there Mamas!

I'm dropping into your inbox today to chat self care rituals for the seasons.

Do you notice your mood and energy levels change throughout the year as we move through the four seasons (or the wet and the dry if you're in the tropics)? We often have more energy and enthusiasm in the warmer months, whilst the colder months are times of retreat, slowing down and even feeling like hibernating!

Knowing this, you can also nourish yourself more when you align your self care with the seasons. For example, in winter, one of my favourite self care moments is cutting fresh slices of ginger, a wedge of lemon or lime and popping those in my favourite mug. Add a spoonful of honey and then pour boiling water in and stir. Aaaaah, freshly brewed ginger, citrus and honey tea - so warming, calming and delicious!

Let me share a seasonal self care suggestion for each of the four seasons:

Summer: Sit in the shade with a cold drink and read a magazine or book

Autumn: Light a candle with a calming scent and enjoy the cosy atmosphere

Winter: Take a warm bath or foot soak with Epsom salts and essential oils

Spring: Pick or purchase a small bunch of fresh flowers to brighten your space

Seasonal self care can be simple and easy to fit into your busy schedule. Even taking 5 minutes a day to focus solely on YOU will make a difference.

If seasonal self care resonates with you, I have created a beautiful journal for busy Mums that includes 40 seasonal self care ideas to inspire you, space for daily and monthly reflections, plus the journal can be filled in digitally or you can print it and handwrite your reflections. There is a southern hemisphere and a northern hemisphere version so the months match up with the right seasons and the journal can be printed fresh at the start of each year so you always have guidance and support to commit to your wellbeing.

If you're ready to start feeling like you again without guilt, overwhelm or losing your sh*t at the kids, get your copy of Pause and Flourish: A Seasonal Self Care Journal for Busy Mums right here!

Until next time,
