Feeling snappy, drained and just DONE? This might be why...

Hey Mama,

Ever lost it at your kids for something tiny (like spilling water) and then felt guilty straight after? Or maybe at the end of the day your brain is completely fried and the thought of making dinner seems impossible.

You're not alone Mama!

These might be signs of mental and emotional overload - not just having a bad day. Overwhelm doesn't always hit like a breakdown, things can steadily pile up and you might be feeling the following:

  • Irritability & Short Fuse – snapping at the kids or your partner over small things
  • Fatigue - feeling wrecked no matter how early you go to bed
  • Forgetfulness & Brain Fog – struggling to remember things or feeling scattered
  • Emotional Numbness – going through the motions but not really feeling anything

  • Guilt & Self Criticism - telling yourself to just 'get it together' or feeling like you're failing
  • Indifference - Hobbies, exercise or things you used to love? Meh.

Sound familiar? If you're nodding along, it's time to take an honest check in with yourself.

First ask: am I really just having a few bad days or is something bigger going on? Recognising where you're truly at is the first big step to making a change!

Next, talk to to someone you trust about how you are feeling or if that feels too hard, try journaling to get your thoughts out of your head. Even just acknowledging your current emotions and thoughts can lift a huge weight.

Next week, I’ll share simple ways to shift from exhausted & overwhelmed to feeling more like YOU again.

In the meantime, I’d love to hear from you—how has motherhood overwhelm shown up for you? Hit reply and let me know. We’re in this together, Mama.

Take care,

Michelle
