Life Feeling Chaotic? Get Grounded!

Hi there!
Happy Sunday :) Are you having a chill, relaxing day today? Or are you running around like a chook with its head cut off?
When life gets chaotic, its even more important to take a moment to reset and calm your nervous system, Mama. Grounding yourself using simple exercises that you can do anywhere is a great way to do this!
One of my absolute favourite ways to ground myself is walking barefoot on grass or sand. Really feeling the ground beneath me and slowing my breathing.
Speaking of breathing, you can also do a quick breathing exercise to ground yourself. Try breathing in slowly for a count of four, holding for a count of three and exhaling for a count of seven. Repeat 5 - 10 times.
Get your body moving - jog or jump on the spot, do windmills with your arms, clap loudly or do some gentle stretches. Pay close attention to the way different parts of your body feel as you move.
Practise focused listening. Take a moment to tune into the sounds around you. Name and describe them in your head. For example, you might think motorbike, revving loudly and then the breeze, rustling through the leaves of that tree...
These techniques can be done anywhere and really help bring you back to the present moment, settled and calm in your body.
